It is a sawing machine that uses a ring-shaped endless band saw blade as the sawing tool and makes one-way continuous linear motion around two sawing wheels to cut wood. It is mainly composed of bed, saw wheel, upper saw wheel lifting and pitching device, band saw blade tensioning device, saw blade guiding device, worktable, guiding plate, etc. The bed is made of cast iron or steel plate by welding.

The tension device of saw blade is divided into spring and thallium (weight hammer), and spring device is used in this machine. The base tension shall be determined by the width, thickness, speed, etc. of the saw blade. Usually, the finger is used to press the saw blade to determine whether the tension is proper according to the left and right bending degree of the saw blade. In general, when the blade is pressed by hand, the bending degree of the saw blade is between 3.2 and 6.4 mm.

The saw blade shall be clamped in the middle of the saw clip, and the bottom of the saw tooth shall be in a straight line with the outer edge of the saw clip. The saw blade shall not be clamped too tightly, but shall be able to slide in the middle of the saw clip. There shall be a gap on both sides, and the gap on each side is about 0.04 ~ 0.08mm. The back of the saw blade is about 0.8mm away from the pulley. If the saw blade contacts the pulley when it is idling, it means that the saw blade is at the back, or the pulley is at the front, or the tension of the saw blade disappears. The upper saw wheel or pulley should be adjusted, or the saw blade should be removed for inspection, rolling and finishing.
